Cabinet approved plan of events for 75th anniversary of Babi Yar tragedy

The Ukrainian cabinet has approved the plan of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy. The according degree of 30 December 2015 has been published on the government’s Internet portal.

On 29 September 2016, mourning ceremonies will be held at the “Babi Yar” national historical memorial sanctuary, with the president, prime minister, chairman of the Supreme Rada, chairman of the Kiev city state administration, representatives of state bodies and institutions, the personnel of the Armed Forces, public organizations, including international ones, the clergy, and the diplomatic corps of foreign nations.

Additionally, a memorial sign will be laid at the construction site of the Memorial Museum.

The state committee of television and radio has been charged with providing wide coverage in the media of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy over the course of the year.
