13 May – International Hummus Day
International Hummus Day was first celebrated four years ago, on the initiative of the American-Israeli journalist and startup developer Ben Lang. The idea for the celebration arose during a hackathon dedicated to promoting Israeli culture all over the world..
On the site of the campaign dedicated to the celebration, , you can see where you can eat delicious hummus around the world. Unfortunately, if you believe the map, there are none of these places in Ukraine (but if you know some, you can add them!).
The founders of the movement propose to dedicate the entire day to hummus — to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, to take photos of it and share the photos on Instagram with the hashtag #hummusday.
By the way, к the celebration of Hummus Day on Facebook has been joined by over 84,000 people. We invite you to join this virtual hummus party and stock up on hummus for the evening.
