Ukrainian javelin thrower to represent Israeli team
The javelin thrower Margarita Dorozhon, who previously represented the Ukrainian team, will now represent Israel. The 27-year-old athlete has already received permission from the executive committee of the Federation of light athletics. The procedure took place according to a simplified scheme, as Dorozhon married a citizen of Israel.
Last summer, Margarita Dorozhon won the javelin competition at the light athletics tournament Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2013, Ukrainian citizen Anna Knyazeva, who came fourth in the in the triple jump 2012 Olympics, also married and moved to Israel, and now represents the country.
