Jewish Cemetery Cleaned Up in Bila Tserkva

Volunteers clean up the Jewish cemetery in Bila Tserkva

Today, volunteers cleaned up the cemetery in Bila Tserkva—a place of rest and remembrance. The Bila Tserkva Jewish Community reported this.

Participants cleared passageways between the graves and removed and carried away branches and brush. The report said that, as part of grant support for the Four Jewish Seasons family project, branch-cutting equipment, a chainsaw, a lawn mower and pruning shears were purchased with financial support from JDC Ukraine. According to the organizers, the equipment has already proved useful and passed the test of its durability.

The organizers thanked everyone who took part in the cleanup that day and throughout the week, as well as the #Мійвибір healthy-living center and the #Animacoffeeco café for their assistance and time. The statement noted that there is still much work to be done, but that such participation helps preserve the memory and dignified resting place of those who came before us.
