The Jewish Community of Ivano-Frankivsk Appeals for Help to Repair the Synagogue’s Heating System

The Jewish Community of Ivano-Frankivsk Appeals for Help

The Jewish Community of Ivano-Frankivsk has appealed for help with the urgent repair of the synagogue’s heating system following an emergency that occurred during the winter of 2025–26. According to a statement from the community, pipes burst in the building, putting the heating system at risk of complete failure.

The community said that, thanks to the prompt action of concerned men who responded to Maksym’s appeal, the damage was contained and more extensive destruction was prevented. It also noted that Rabbi Moshe Asman quickly responded to a request from director Itzhok Perelman and allocated UAH 10,000 for urgent emergency work, which helped stop the flooding and carry out the initial repairs.

After an inspection by specialists, it became clear that a major intervention would be required for a full restoration: replacement of damaged sections of pipe and control valves, and possibly some radiators as well. The community warns that without this work, the synagogue could be left without heat during the coldest months, complicating the holding of daily services, classes, and charitable meals.

The community has launched an urgent fundraiser for the professional repair of the heating system and published its bank details for official transfers:
