International Conference on Jewish Communities of Ukraine Concludes in Medzhybizh

The International Scientific Conference “Jewish Communities of Ukraine in the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period” has concluded in Medzhybizh. This was reported by the Interdisciplinary Certificate Program in Jewish Studies.

Over the course of three days, participants, partners, and attendees listened to substantive presentations, took part in scholarly discussions, and exchanged experience and new ideas. The organizers noted that one of the conference’s main achievements was the further strengthening of the community of people interested in researching Jewish history and heritage in Ukraine.

The conference was co-organized by the International Interdisciplinary Certificate Program in Jewish Studies under the auspices of the A. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Medzhybizh State Historical and Cultural Reserve, the Omeljan Pritsak Research Center for Oriental Studies - Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and the Medzhybizh Settlement Council. Support was provided by the Zionist Federation of Ukraine, while the media partners were the Diie-Slovo studio and EVREI.TV.
