According to a decision by the Board of the All-Ukrainian Union of Jewish Public Organizations “United Jewish Community of Ukraine,” Vitaliy Kamozin has been appointed Executive Director.
The decision was adopted at a meeting of the UJCU Board on February 11, 2025. The minutes of the meeting were registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine today, March 4, 2025.
Since 2018, Vitaliy Kamozin had served as Operations Director of the UJCU, during which time he managed a number of large-scale projects.
In particular, at his initiative, more than 120 memorial signs were installed at Jewish cemeteries and mass burial sites of Holocaust victims.
Vitaliy Kamozin also coordinated the installation of 20 video surveillance systems at Jewish community premises to enhance the security of Jewish sites in various regions of Ukraine.
In addition, he made a significant contribution to the preservation of Jewish cemeteries by organizing the return of discovered matzevot to cemetery grounds.
The activities of the UJCU under the operational leadership of Vitaliy Kamozin were not limited to memorial initiatives, but also focused on humanitarian projects. At the beginning of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kamozin organized the distribution of food packages to Jewish communities.
Under his leadership, the United Jewish Community of Ukraine also implemented numerous other projects aimed at improving and developing Jewish life in Ukraine.
